·         Miss Barker explained how the new School Council badges were still on order and should be arriving before half term.  Miss Barker will hand out as soon as they arrive.

·         Miss Barker discussed the role of the Treasurer and Secretary. Alfie happy to take on the role of Treasurer. Miss Barker to ask Olivia if she would like to become the School Council’s Secretary.

·         Miss Barker and Mrs Lofty discussed future events for the School Council to organise across the next academic year. Members of the School Council were encouraged to write any ideas they have in their blue books and bring to the next meeting. Miss Barker shared a plan of events which had been discussed with Mr Banwell.

·         Budget – Miss Barker asked School Council members to start to think about possible things we could buy with the budget left from last year’s committee. (Approx. £80) Last Year’s School council messages and suggestions were shared.

Suggestions were playtime equipment / trucks to go in the proposed Sandpit area on the KS1 playground.  Miss Barker will find out when the Sandpit will be ready.

·         Miss Barker thanked Keira and Harvey for producing a letter to send to the PA requesting £100 to start their School Council Budget for the year. The PA has kindly agreed to give the School Council £100. This will enable the School Council to purchase things to sell and make a profit on to help raise funds for our school.   As a School Council it was suggested that we focus on a key item to purchase at the end of the year as decided by the pupils at Rydon.

·         Miss Barker asked for volunteers to write letters to people in the community to offer our help as part of ‘Make a Difference Week’.  Alfie, Olivia, Keira and Harvey to meet in 1BW on Monday Lunchtime. (10th October)

·         Miss Barker and Mrs Lofty thanked everyone for their input in today’s meeting.
