School Council meeting: How can we improve our School? - 7.5.14

School Council Meeting: 7.5.14
Today we talked about how to improve the school so it is an even better place to be during the summer term. These are the ideas we came up with (in order of importance!):

Playtimes
1.       Make sure the smaller children do not keep taking the buddies hats off.
2.       Let Year 3 go on the top playground / field.
3.       Make sure children do not play games roughly (like ‘Cops & Robbers’ or ‘Chain it’).
4.       Ask ‘Sport Buddies’ to set up exercise stations, like we had on Sport Relief, during lunch plays.
5.       Let KS1/F children use the climbing frame at lunch plays.
6.       Learn knew games we can play at lunch times.

Things around the school
1.       Fix the indoor water fountain, as it only comes out in a trickle at the moment.
2.       Paint the climbing frame.
3.       Make sure School Council members sit on their bench in whole school assemblies.
4.       Set up library monitors so they can help keep the books in order.
5.       Talk to all children so they look after equipment in school.
6.       Have mirrors in every toilet (only some toilets do at the moment).

We would like all class teachers to talk to their class about the following things:
·         Why it is important to behave well and kindly at lunch times. We don’t want children to be rough.
·         What new games could we play that would be fun.

Please can you do this for us?
Thank you,
From the school Council
